A leading Research based Pharmaceutical company, manufacturing transdermal drug delivery systems, contracted us to develop an Automated Inspection system for incorporation into a new Packaging machine they had purchased. The customer required a comprehensive system which would detect the range of defects they saw as a requirement from their customer. Prior to their successful tender we worked with the client and the machine builder to understand the potential for defects in the manufacturing process. The solution was to provide an array of Vision systems in a single system to detect visible contaminants, confirm text, measure cut tolerances etc.   Solution We had already worked successfully with the German machine manufacturer and have extensive experience in interfacing with large machine builders. Working to extremely tight deadlines we successfully integrated the required Hardware into the new Pouching machine to ensure a successful Factory Acceptance. We have considerable experience in building mechanical enclosures and electrical panels thereby ensuring a minimum amount of third party involvement. Typically we work very closely with the primary machine builder to minimise the impact on the delivery schedule.
